Dr. Shen’s research interests include corporate governance, corporate finance, and FinTech. Within the areas of corporate governance and corporate finance, her primary focus lies in shareholder voting, the role of information intermediaries, executive compensation, corporate innovation, and corporate financial misconduct. Her research has been published in leading finance journals, including the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. Her papers have been presented at numerous academic conferences such as the AFA, AEA, SFS Cavalcade, MFA, FMA, CICF, etc. Her work has also been covered in the Wall Street Journal and The Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation. She received her PhD in Finance from Boston College, MSc in Finance from the University of British Columbia, and Bachelor of Economics with major in Finance from Renmin University of China.
